Nail Colour
Fingernail colour is a free modification available across all brands. Manicures are a detail that's constantly in view: the doll's hands are involved in almost every interaction with you, and they appear in most photographs. So the manicure has a big influence on your overall impression of the doll.
How it works
The doll's nails are false plates glued to the nail bed. Most brands offer a palette of dozens of different colours and shapes. You'll find the exact list in each brand's customisation section.
Some brands also offer a type of nail without plates. This is simply silicone, with no additional paint, so the nails will be the same colour as the body. This type of nail has its own advantage: it can't come unstuck or fall off. And it does a reasonably good job of representing the colour of unpainted, naturally short natural nails.
Nails may come unstuck over time. This most often happens when dressing the doll, when fabric catches on the edge of a nail. A nail is easy to glue back on using special false nail glue.
Don't use superglue. It can damage the doll's material and leave whitish marks. Use only false nail glue.
How to choose a colour
We recommend a natural colour or a French manicure. These are universal choices that suit any look and any skin tone.
You can change the manicure later on: ordinary false nails from any cosmetics shop will work on the doll.
Either way, try not to deliberately rip off the nails, as this can damage the material of the doll's fingers. If you do decide to re-glue the nails, do it gently, without putting too much strain on the finger material.
