Skin Tone

You can choose a skin tone for any realistic silicone sex doll. This is a basic modification available across every brand without exception. Pigment is added to the material itself at the casting stage. In other words, skin tone isn't a paint job on top, but the colour of the silicone itself, all the way through. That's why the skin tone can't be changed afterwards.

On top of the base tone, every doll has layers of paint, pigment, shading and other details applied. All of this shapes the doll's overall look and its realistic skin. This painted layer can wear away over time through friction. This is a normal part of the doll's ageing process, and one you should be prepared for.

Palette

Each brand has its own unique colour palette. But it usually comes down to 4-6 skin tones, from light to dark.

Please bear in mind that each brand has its own unique skin tones. Even if the skin colours of two different manufacturers look the same at first glance, the tones will differ. So if you choose a head from one brand and a body from another, there will always be some difference in colour.

Skin tone in studio photographs depends heavily on lighting and post-processing. The same "Natural" tone can look different between two brands. So when choosing a skin tone, follow our guide below.

How to choose a skin tone

  1. First, look at the studio photographs of the dolls to get your overall impression of that skin colour.
  2. Go into the customisation section or the brand's article and look at that particular skin tone. Photos for options are always taken in neutral light, to show the visual as objectively as possible.
  3. Most importantly, look at non-studio photographs (real-life photos) of different dolls with that skin tone. Real-life photos are taken on an ordinary camera in normal, neutral light. They give the best impression of what the skin tone actually looks like in real life.

Which tone suits whom

This comes down entirely to your own preferences. The only recommendation is: if you want a doll "as shown in the photos", choose the tone used in the studio shots of that specific model. And don't forget to check the real-life photos with that skin tone.
