Areola Colour
Areola colour is a modification available across all brands. It strongly affects how the doll's breasts are perceived. The right shade makes the breasts look natural, while a poor match with the skin tone instantly gives away the "artificiality".
How it works
The shade is applied with paint during the post-processing stage. Each brand has its own palette of shades, usually ranging from light pink to brown.
The areolas are hand painted, and with premium brands there's a smooth gradient at the edge, which makes the transition into the skin tone look natural.

The doll's breasts are an area of constant contact and friction, so the shade may gradually fade with use. This is a normal process. Careful handling and washing without aggressive rubbing slows it down considerably.
How to choose a shade
The main rule: the areola shade should match the doll's skin tone. For example, on tanned skin, light pink areolas look unnatural.
