Heating System
This option adds a heating system to your doll.
How it works
Inside the doll, a heating strip is stretched over the frame. This strip runs along the torso and legs. To activate the option, it needs to be plugged into the mains.
Once plugged in, the doll heats up to human body temperature. Heating usually takes around 4-5 hours, as the material is dense, so it takes a long time for heat to "transfer" from the strip stretched around the frame through to the surface.
After that, the doll's material will gradually cool back down to room temperature. This also usually takes around 4-5 hours.
Heating zone
The heated areas include the stomach, waist and legs (down to mid calf). It's worth noting that in areas with a thicker layer of material, such as the buttocks and thighs, the heating effect will be less pronounced.
The head, as well as the feet and palms, don't heat up. Only the main part of the body heats up. The intimate areas heat along with the torso, but due to the thickness of the material there, the warmth is felt more faintly. If oral opening heating specifically matters to you, ROS heads have a separate option for that: we cover it in more detail in the Oral Heating section.
Like any electronics, this upgrade doesn't like moisture. So during washing and care, it's important to avoid contact between the charging port and moisture. Also, never leave the doll unattended for extended periods with the heating switched on, and disconnect the system from the mains before going to sleep: this is a basic safety rule for any heating appliance.
Alternative to this option
This option takes a very long time to heat the doll. On top of that, it fairly often breaks down. So as an alternative, you can use an electric blanket. It heats the doll much faster, since the heat travels from the surface of the material inwards to the skeleton. So the doll becomes warm faster than with the heating system switched on.
An electric blanket has other advantages too
- It doesn't add anything to the doll's construction. Less electronics inside means fewer points of failure and fewer restrictions when washing.
- The blanket also warms areas the Heating System doesn't cover.
- If the blanket breaks, you simply buy a new one. If the built in heating system breaks, repair is practically impossible.
Is it worth adding
Taking everything into account, we consider the Heating System an optional extra. An electric blanket solves the same problem faster, more reliably, and without interfering with the doll's construction. Adding built in heating is only worth it if "warmth from within" without external devices really matters to you.
