What about “extras” that don’t really exist in the official factory catalogue, but aren’t overly complicated either? If it’s a cosmetic tweak — it’s worth a try. It’s a bit like commissioning a painting from an artist based on your sketch — you can provide examples and detailed notes, but it’ll never be exactly the picture in your head 🤷🏼‍♂️.

That’s why, if you do ask for custom touches, it’s best to keep them minimal — the kind of thing that’s hard to get wrong. Take moles, for example. One of our clients recently requested a whole set of them across the doll’s body and face. “Ask and you shall receive.” The factory added over 40 moles to the model. The client was happy, and so were we.
